Half the calls here are a two-mile hop. The other half turn into an 80-mile drive. Royal Palm Blvd and Griffin Rd are the last services before Alligator Alley crosses the Everglades — no fuel, nowhere to eat, long gaps between call boxes. Past the toll plaza it's a recovery, not a quick jump start.
Town itself is a different job. Arvida-planned and gated end to end, so a truck headed into Weston Hills or off Bonaventure Blvd needs the guardhouse to clear it first. Leased European SUVs and EVs here ride the flatbed to their dealer rather than get patched on the shoulder. Out by the levee, the ground turns soft fast.
Gate calls and the long haul west
My car quit on Alligator Alley past the toll plaza. Can you get to me?
Yes. Get behind the guardrail and give us the nearest mile marker plus your direction of travel, so we come up the right side of the median. It's a long haul.
Will my community's guard gate let a tow truck in?
Once you've authorized it, yes. Call the guardhouse or add us to your visitor list before we roll.
